The National Centre for Energy will apply for an extension of the NCE project implementation under the 1st public tender and will use the option of a one-year phased extension utilising a maximum of 35% of the total project support provided.
The one-year extension will ensure continuity between the completed projects implemented under the 1st. public tender and the newly supported project under the 2nd one and thus avoid the risk of their possible duplication.
Procedure for requesting an extension of the NCE project implementation:
- Identification of interest in further implementation of the existing sub-projects (investigators, expert guarantors)
- Proposal and signature of an Amendment to the Contract on the Establishment of the National Centre for Energy
- Preparation of proposals for sub-project extension and their subsequent evaluation by the expert guarantors, the Council of the Centre and the General Meeting.
The extension request will include:
- The list of planned activities during the extended project period described in the proposals of the individual sub-projects in line with the fulfilment of the project and programme objectives including their outputs, the high level of which will be emphasised. The recommended level of technical design of the sub-project outputs is TRL level 6 and above, corresponding to semi-production, prototype or utility model outputs. These types of outputs can thus be built on those already achieved in existing sub-projects.
- Description of the cooperation with organisations both within and outside the Centre during the extended project period or even after the project has been completed. In particular, identification of planned links beyond the project proposal or new approaches to the originally declared cooperation. Indication of new contacts (in the application sphere, foreign organisations, etc.) the activities planned for the extension period will bring.
- A financial plan.
The investigators were sent the forms for the extension request, the preparation of which will follow the Timetable approved by the Centre Council.
