The idea was conceived by a researcher at the National Centre for Energy, Ing. Tomáš Vantuch, Ph.D. The impetus behind it was to find new approaches and compare solutions with those of leading experts in data science, a very broad and rapidly evolving field. The competition will run from December 20 until the end of March. It has already attracted 550 entries and can be found on the Kaggle platform, which represents hundreds of global experts and companies that either organise or participate directly in such competitions. Google AI, Facebook, and NASA, to name but a few, operate on this platform. Winners can look forward to a cash prize. The algorithm they create will be published as open-source, allowing scientists from all over the world to get inspiration for their future experiments. More information can be found here
