In October 2021, the VSB-TUO campus hosted a monitoring visit and meeting of the partners of the National Centre for Energy (NCE), a project managed by the ENET Centre, VSB-TUO. The project has been bringing together top Czech universities, research organisations, and companies from the energy industry since 2019.

During the meeting on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, the representatives of TA ČR briefed the participants about the preliminary information on the announcement of the 2nd call of the NCE programme. Ing. Ruth Bízková, the authorized consultant of the National Centre for Energy, expressed her support for further operation of the NCE project in the following years, VSB-TUO being the principal investigator, stating that it is a quite exceptional grouping of research organisations and industrial partners with significant innovative potential which has the ambition to become the main base of professional "know-how" for the state administration in the issues of energy transition and new energy policy. Prof. Ing. Stanislav Mišák, Ph.D., the principal investigator of the project and Director of the Centre for Energy and Environmental Technologies, together with other representatives of research organizations and industrial partners, defined in a joint discussion the main research topics and directions that the National Centre should follow in the future.

On Wednesday, October 6, 2021, a meeting to review the substantive part of the project was held with the presence of the project rapporteur Ing. Milan Mušák, MBA. The representatives of the provider were informed about the individual sub-projects progress with a focus on 2021, plans for the next period of the project management, and the implementation of the objectives set for the project period 2021 - 2022. Jan Fulneček and a representative of the industrial partner of Vyncke Ing. Petr Salvet presented the most important outputs of the project applied in practice. These outputs will be further presented in a promotional video clip, the filming of which took place simultaneously with the monitoring visit both in the premises of CEET, VŠB-TUO and directly in the premises of the partner company of Vyncke.
