The research focus and the main objectives of the National Centre for Energy II are represented by a matrix structure in which the topics in the horizontal plane contain the outputs of applied research, and the topics in the vertical plane contain an analysis of the impact of the implementation of R&D outputs on the social and economic sphere, respecting the rules of taxonomy and the principle of "no significant harm".
Each of the horizontal themes - application segments - is led by an expert guarantor responsible for the thematic content in accordance with the global objective of NCE II.
